Vehicle Type (section 5.8)

‘Hatchbacks’, available for sale in the UK for at least three years prior to the current season. Up to 1400cc multi-valve and up to 1600cc two-valve-per-cylinder. New for 2008 is the 1600cc 16v Citroen C2 VTS. There is a minimum weight including driver; the winning cars are ballasted.

Engine (section 5.7)

The original engine may be rebored by up to + 0.5mm. No modifications are allowed. ‘Blue-printing’ is as far as you can go.

Suspension (section 5.8)

Standard configuration and pick-up points; springs may be uprated and lowered. No ‘rose-joints’ or ‘rod-ends’; only single-adjustable dampers; standard anti-roll bars.

Brakes (Section 5.11)

Standard discs and drums, no cross-drilling or grooving; no ABS unless standard; friction material is free.

Transmission (section 5.9)

Standard gearbox and ratios and final drive for the model must be used. No LSD or similar; no traction control.

Tyres (Section 5.13)

Control tyre is the Yokohama A539, C Drive or S Drive. Rim width and diameter must be standard for the model.

Rounds (Section 1.5)

Usually 15 rounds in the season. Some will be ‘double-headers’ either on one day, or spread over a weekend. Two or three grids are often needed.

Costs

Registration fee for the Season is £75.
750 Motor Club membership for 12 months is £50.00 including
a joining fee.
