DNC (David Newman Camshafts) Mark 6 – Designed by David Newman and built in the late 1970’s. Last raced in 2012 but now completely restored and ready to race again.
Currently fitted with an unraced Pete Birch-built 850cc Reliant engine with a series-approved cam and a 4-speed Reliant gearbox, modified Morris Minor rear axle (4.22 diff, trailing arms + panhard rod pickups). The chassis is steel construction with double wishbone front suspension and Spax dampers all round. Six-point harness and extinguisher all in date. New Dunlop race tyres on 4-spoke 13inch Revolution wheels and new battery. Transponder and action camera included. This car is ready to go now. FYI, I am 6ft tall, weigh 13.5stone (86Kg) and fit snugly in the car.
Bought by me in 2024 and completely stripped down with new metal used in the rebuild but I have re-used as many of the original parts as possible to retain the car’s history. All build photos, history and bills will come with the car.
Comes with a single-axle unbraked trailer in good condition that will easily fit in a normal garage.
Come and join one of the best race series in the UK. Great cars, wonderful friendly people and superb racing fun.
