Are You Race Ready? Procedure and Scrutineering Notes

Scrutineering Notes

  • Note that a flame resistant balaclava is mandatory for circuit racing from the 2026 season onwards. Whilst the vast majority of drivers already use these, please check ahead of new season scrutineering (note hologram or FIA number), and speak to 750MC sponsors such as Raceparts, Tegiwa and Vulcan Racing for all your kit requirements.
  • 750MC will have a small emergency stock (while stocks last, priced at £35) at the first few events in the Race Admin office.
  • You must remove any pre-2026 750MC scrutineering labels from your car ahead of the new season.
  • Note that fire extinguisher nozzles must be securely held in place with metal attachments. They must not be affixed with zip ties, through plastic trim or suchlike, and they must not be able to rotate away from intended direction on their push-fittings.
  • If you have not raced with your helmet before, you will need to see a scrutineer (regardless of whether your formula has been selected for scrutineering) for an inspection and sticker to be applied. These stickers cost £2.50.
  • Race suit screen printing is only permitted if carried out by the manufacturer of the suit, and you will need to present a confirmation letter from the manufacturer at scrutineering.
  • There will be an FIA hologram on the left shoulder strap of your race harness. Ensure you haven’t fitted the left and right shoulder straps the wrong way round.
  • Ballast must be securely fitted in the passenger area only (also see championship regulations in case of more specific placement). The Motorsport UK NCR rules at time of writing state ‘at least 4 x mounting points a minimum M8 steel fasteners with steel counter plates of at least 400sqmm surface area and 3mm thickness.’

Transponder Hire

Planning to rent a transponder for races? These must be booked for all 750 Motor Club events via the Shop Listing. Remember to order before 3pm on the Thursday before each event, and they MUST be returned at the end of the event.

Commentator Forms

2026 Commentator Forms are now available – All competitors are encouraged to complete one to help with event and livestream coverage this season, and give your sponsors a mention.

Decals

You will be able to find a Decal Layout booklet on all the Event pages later this week, which shows the position of mandatory series/championship decals. These are all available to collect from the 750MC Race Admin office.

750MC always keep a stock of race numbers at events (both yellow and black, plus white backgrounds) – these are available at the Race Admin Office priced at £1.50 apiece.

Newcomer to 750MC and/or a circuit racing novice?

Typically on the Tuesday ahead of each event, we will send through an email to all competitors who are entered, called ‘KEY INFO’.

This will explain how to sign on for the event, where to find documentation, and various other information specific to each event, venue and paddock. Whilst some of this email will be repeated, it is crucial that you read it carefully for each event plus the various linked documents (such as Final Instructions) on the website Event Page.

Ensure you check email regularly for any other event or formula-specific communications.
