Revised 2021 Hot Hatch Class Structure Announced

750 Motor Club is pleased to announce a re-launched class structure for the 2021 PBS Brakes Hot Hatch Championship, retaining a three-class power to weight system to suit the vast majority of naturally aspirated hot hatchbacks (plus supercharged R53 MINIs subject to specific regulations) – now featuring refined boundaries for closer cost-effective competition.

Draft 2021 regulations are now available here, with the key updates from 2020 regulations as follows:

The move is to accommodate growing Class B and C numbers for more attainable machinery and ensure that the many cars (Clios for example) ‘in between’ 2020 class limits are able to remain competitive without excessive development and spending. The new structure will also bring the overall field closer together to reduce speed differentials between Class A and C for the benefit of all drivers, whilst all classes will feature the same priority and coverage in media and 2021 livestreaming coverage.
