Description

Newly built this season and only completed eight races, this is the only left hand drive BMW Compact competing in either the English or Scottish Compact Cup Championships.
Car sourced from Holland over the winter, this car has had a no expense spared transformation into one of the front running compacts in the 40+ strong field of BMW Compact Cup. First event out without testing placed 9th then 4th at Snetterton 300. Followed by 5th and 6th placings at Rockingham. Without doubt, with a decent driver onboard this is a regular podium placing race car and a machine that can compete for the championship.
Every part was sourced new for the car in build and fully complient to the Compact Cup regulations. New built engine by RPM Engine Developments producing regulation power in conjuction with the Superchips ECU. Built by Virgo Motorsport, builders of race winning cars for many years, the attention to detail is how every race car should be presented.
Reason for the left hand drive was to achieve the most poised and balanced car available and to get the car lightened without compromising on safety by cutting panels etc. The kerb weight of a stock European car over a UK car is around 70kgs lighter!! And with the driver sat on the left, their weight aids in corner weighting the car without compromise.
Lightened to perfection to comply with the regulations, finishing Silverstone recently at 1153kgs (legal min weight 1150kgs), and this is with me being 118kgs personally.
Twin fuel pump system fitted so no surge, can run car on minimum fuel to save weight
New seat, new belts, flocked dash, new extinguisher, new everything. This car cost in excess of £12 k to build.
Spares and transponder available but not part of sale
Probably the least run and therefore newest BMW compact cup car available. Was due to do the Birkett 6 hour but drive fell through so spanner checked and ready to race......
