Radical Club Challenge is for Radical sports racing cars powered by motorbike engines. All models are eligible from the earliest Clubsports and Prosports, through PR6s, SR4s, SR1s and all incarnations of the hugely popular SR3.
Classes exist for Radical specification and tuned models, plus - a new cost-effective introduction for 2025 - the only standalone class for standard SR1s to Radical specification (taking over from the SR1 Cup).
750 Motor Club is pleased to announce that in conjunction with Radical Motorsport, Bikesports is set to be re-branded as the 2025 Radical Club Challenge, featuring a dedicated additional class for SR1 models in Radical Cup UK specification.
Cited as the perfect introductory car for novice and rookie drivers embarking on their motorsport journey, Radical Motorsport’s SR1 has been a mainstay of the Peterborough-based manufacturer’s lineup since 2012; offering a more cost-effective entry point and ongoing running costs, as well as approachability for novices or seasoned racers making their first steps into sports-racing car competition.
The 750 Motor Club championship has always been a go-to racing home for owners of Radical cars, especially non-current models. Whilst SR1s have always been eligible, the cars were catered for elsewhere by Radical’s own championship and the previous 750MC class structure and regulations meant they were never in a position to compete for awards.
Looking ahead to 2025, a change to the regulations will not only allow the SR1 models to race in their own dedicated class to accrue SR1 points, but also compete for the overall title against a mixed field comprising all Radical models.
ALL motorbike-engined Radical models - from a Clubsport or Prosport right up to the modern day SR3 XXR - are eligible for the Radical Club Challenge Championship; the other classes catering for standard and tuned models. Full 2025 regulations will be available soon.
As the most cost effective entry point into Radical circuit racing, the SR1 models go hand-in-hand with the ethos of 750 Motor Club - known as the UK’s Home of Affordable Motorsport – and the move to a 750MC grid will help to open up new opportunities for those keen to take the steps into circuit racing in a Radical.
The SR1 class will be introduced alongside the current class structure, which features a grid mostly comprised of various specifications of SR3, PR6, Clubsport and Prosport models. A mainstay formula in the 750 Motor Club’s comprehensive portfolio of club-level circuit racing series and championships for more than two decades, Bikesports has always been one of UK motorsport’s fastest formulae, with an unrivalled paddock that is approachable for both ‘Arrive & Drive’ team racers as well as self-run competitors.
