In the first of a trio of 750 Motor Club 2024 announcements for BMW racing fans, this season will see the exciting 116 Sprint Trophy run as a full fledged Motorsport UK Championship for the first time.

 

Following on from a trial race at Pembrey in 2022 and an introductory series across four events last year, the huge level of support from drivers seeking additional sprint racing on Saturdays to supplement their Gaz Shocks 116 Trophy endurance outings on Sundays means that this year we are already on course to see packed grids from the outset.

 

The races for the ultra-durable E87-generation BMWs will take place across a six-event, 12-race championship calendar combined with the new 120 Coupe Cup cars, starting at Brands Hatch on 27th April. 

 

With some seriously competitive newcomers and experienced racers having taken to the track in 116s over the last few years, who is going to be the inaugural 116 Sprint Trophy Champion of 2024?
