750 MOTOR CLUB PARTNER WITH PPC IN THE PARK
Thu 16 May 2013
The 750 Motor Club has struck a deal to become a partner and title sponsor of the PPC In the Park event to be held at Mallory Park on Saturday, 18 May. The event, organised by Practical Performance Car magazine, is packed with attractions to appeal to ‘petrolheads’, including a Prodrive rally car, drag karts, vintage drifters and a range of cars featured in the magazine.
The Club’s significant presence on the day will include a team of Locosts, the Renault Clio 182 Sport car that is being developed for its own one-make series, and a car from the Club’s classic 750 Trophy series. On the PPC stand, a car will be built during the day ready to compete in the 750MC-run Marangoni/GAZ Shocks Compact Cup.
“This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for the Club to reach out to a new market of motoring enthusiasts who may not necessarily have considered racing,” said the 750 Motor Club Competition Manager, Giles Groombridge. “We’re delighted to tie up with PPC in the Park and will be showcasing the full spectrum of the Club’s activities.”
It is anticipated that a number of features will appear in Practical Performance Car magazine after the event, such as an item on the build of a Clio 182, and the magazine’s entry of a team in the Birkett Six Hour Relay race, to be held at Silverstone in October.
More information on the event can be found at ppcmag.co.uk, with the ability to book tickets, track time or an auto test session online.
