750MC RESCHEDULE POSTPONED DONINGTON EVENT

Thu 28 Mar 2013

The 750 Motor Club have announced a new date for the Donington Park race meeting that was recently postponed due to snow. The entire event will now be run on the Donington Grand Prix circuit on Sunday 30 June.

The meeting will include rounds of the Marangoni/GAZ Shocks Compact Cup, the Millers Oils Toyota MR2 Championship, the AB Performance RGB Championship, the Tillotson Formula Vee Championship, the Sports Specials Championship and the Cartek Roadsports Series.

“We’re grateful for the co-operation of Christopher Tate and his team here at Donington Park that have worked hard to enable us to reschedule the meeting after the appalling weather conditions we suffered last week,” said the Club’s Competitions Manager, Giles Groombridge. “Obviously we are hoping that with a mid-summer date we will be less susceptible to snow, and of course this date gives the discerning enthusiast an opportunity to see some tremendous club motorsport as an alternative to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on the same day!”

Entries made to the original meeting will be carried forward to the new event, with all fees retained by the Club. However, if competitors who entered for the March event cannot attend on the new date, a full refund will be given.

Competitors who had not entered for the original meeting will be able to do so for the June date, which is welcome news for drivers who had struggled to prepare their cars in time for the first event.

The event will enjoy the TV coverage, produce by AMG TV for broadcast on Motors TV, that was originally scheduled.
