The 750 Motor Club is saddened to announce the passing of Bernard Cottrell in the early hours this morning. Bernard joined the 750 Motor Club as Race Director for the 2019 season having first marshalled for the club in the 1970’s. During this period Bernard mentored and trained several new Clerks of the Course and despite bravely battling leukaemia Bernard continued to attend our events throughout the pandemic.

 

In Race Control, Bernard was decisive, professional, and knowledgeable whilst away from the track he was a fine raconteur with many an entertaining tale from his broad and extensive motorsport career.

 

Our thoughts at this sad time are with Anne and Bernard’s family, Bernard will be sorely missed, it was a privilege to have him on the team.
