Wed 02 Jul 2014

The new Racekits car for the 750 Trophy series will have its debut race at Rockingham this weekend on Sunday 6th July. The car was first shown at the Race Retro in February and is now complete, using an 850cc Reliant engine and gearbox.

The Reliant power train is an all-alloy unit with readily available multisource spares. A 750cc version from the famous Coventry Climax stable is also eligible for the series.

The performance of these 750 Trophy cars is comparable with mid-field historic formula Junior at a fraction of the price. Formula Junior cars, typically 215 bhp/ton (95bhp/400kg) compared to 170bhp/ton (60 bhp/320kg. The 750 Trophy cars run on cut slicks have better cornering performance.

The car is available in kit form or complete. Complete chassis plus kit starts at £3,100 and full turn key is £ 8,500
