Statement: 750 Motor Club November Events & COVID-19 Update
Wed 04 Nov 2020
As a result of new guidance issued by Motorsport UK earlier this week that it will be suspending all organising permits for non-elite level motorsport until 2nd December, 750 Motor Club regrets to inform competitors that the Club’s final 2020 events at Silverstone National (14th November) and Donington Park National (21st/22nd November) will be cancelled.
The Club has however been able to secure a replacement race weekend fixture at Donington Park (National) on the 12th/13th December, where the following formulae will now have the opportunity to conclude their 2020 seasons. Whilst every effort has been made to reschedule races for all affected series and championships, priority was given to those where fewer races had already taken place in 2020 so far, and/or with championship titles still to be decided.
Donington Park National – 12th December
K-Tec Racing Clio 182 Championship (double-header)
BMW Car Club Racing Championship (double-header)
Demon Tweeks | Yokohama Locost Championship (double-header)
TEGIWA Roadsports Series (45mins)
Donington Park National – 13th December
5Club MX-5 Championship (double-header)
TEGIWA Club Enduro Championship (100mins)
PBS Brakes Hot Hatch Championship & TEGIWA Type R Trophy (double-header – split grid)
Toyo Tires MR2 Championship (double-header)
All race entries from the two cancelled events will automatically be transferred across to the new meeting and competitors with any balance to pay or unable to attend the new fixture should log on to the Race Entry Portal to pay or withdraw as soon as possible to assist with planning. The Locost season finale will switch from a triple to double-header in order to reduce numbers on site and keep the formula as a single day fixture with no overnight stay required.
Short notice and limited date options means that Classic Stock Hatch, Alfa Romeo Championship, F1000, Formula Vee and Ma7da seasons have now regretfully been concluded for 2020, and all competitors with entries for cancelled meetings that could not be re-scheduled will receive refunds within the next 14 days.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep members informed should any further developments or information arise, and the Club wishes to thank competitors for their support and understanding with such late season changes. Please note that whilst fully operational, the 750MC office will have limited telephone support for the remainder of November and contact and enquiries to the team should be made via email.
