Statement Regarding 750MC Anglesey Race Weekend - 12th/13th September
Fri 21 Aug 2020
Unfortunately, due to the restrictions that have been put in place by the regional government in Wales having not been eased sufficiently to allow the operation of a full scale race meeting, Anglesey Circuit have been left with no option but to cancel our planned weekend on the 12th / 13th of September.
We understand that this is hugely disappointing for those of you affected, especially given that so many of our early season meetings were lost due to the cessation of all motorsport activities at the peak of the pandemic. We have been working hard over recent days to provide viable alternatives for competitors but options are understandably limited at such short notice.
However, we have been able to secure an additional slot at Castle Combe on the 19th of September, and will run a new single-day event on the 300 circuit at Snetterton on the 13th of September.
Furthermore, we have been asked by Anglesey to run a 'Test' meeting on the 6th of September for a very limited number of formulae. This is critical for both the venue and motorsport in Wales as it offers the opportunity to prove to the Welsh government that motorsport can operate safely under the current conditions and we hope that people will support the event.
We apologise for any inconvenience that these date changes have caused but they were a result of factors outside of the Club and the circuit's control. For formulae where we have been unable to find a suitable replacement date in September, we will continue to look for alternatives later in the year.
A revised calendar matrix can be found below. Further formulae-specific details on the changes will be emailed to competitors next week.
